FAQ

You Have Got Questions. We Have Got Dirt.

The stuff people actually ask us — with honest, no-BS answers.

We serve all of Madison County, Alabama (Huntsville, Madison, Harvest, and surrounding communities) and Fayetteville, Tennessee. If you are close to our service boundaries, just ask — we probably cover you.

It depends on the project, but we always give you a detailed, no-obligation estimate upfront. A typical lawn maintenance plan runs $150-400/month depending on property size. Full landscape design and install projects range from $3,000 for a small transformation to $30,000+ for comprehensive estate landscaping. No surprises — ever.

Absolutely — it is actually our specialty. Our organic programs use compost teas, slow-release natural fertilizers, and biological pest management. Results take slightly longer than chemical approaches but the long-term health of your soil and lawn is dramatically better.

For warm-season grass (Bermuda, Zoysia): late April through June. For cool-season grass (Fescue): September through October. For trees and shrubs: Fall is ideal — October through December gives roots time to establish before summer heat. For vegetables: generally March-April for spring and August-September for fall gardens.

We start with an on-site visit where we listen to what you're envisioning, walk the property with you, and take notes on soil, sun, drainage, and existing plants. It's a conversation, not a sales pitch. If the project needs design work, we'll discuss that process and any associated fees during a follow-up call. For simpler work that doesn't require a formal design, the consultation often leads directly to a proposal — and we frequently waive or credit the estimate fee toward the cost of the job. Either way, you'll learn something useful about your property even if you decide not to move forward.

Nope! Our landscaping services and membership program are completely separate. Services are for people who want professional hands doing the work. Membership is for people who want knowledge, products, and guidance.

Yes. Madison County Landscaping, LLC is fully licensed in both Alabama and Tennessee, and we carry comprehensive general liability and workers compensation insurance.

Madison County and Lincoln County are in USDA Zones 7 and 8, which narrows down your options to plants that can handle our winters (down to 0-20 degrees F depending on your zone) and our hot summers. Our plant database has 500+ verified plants for our zones.
